15 weeks agoEOD I meet with some guys on Thursday nites. Linda calls them the "Odd Fellows" and they are. What`s that say about me? Thanks for the invite. I`ve stopped in there a couple times since they opened. The bartender went to school with my daughter.

15 weeks agoI am always glad to hear of other people who like to ride. I used to ride out 75 to 150 miles, one way, to eat lunch. That was once or twice a week. Aside from my long trips. If you guys ever think to really do something - go to Daytona Bike week. Stay ocean side and the bars and food and field entertainment are really great. I been there a number of times.
15 weeks agoRight on. It wasn`t a bad turn out. It looked like rain but we were good. I hit a little bit of rain on the east end of 10th but that was it.
Hope y`all had fun with the Odd Fellows!
15 weeks agoI left early to enjoy some ribs that Linda was cooking. You saw how that turned out. LOL
15 weeks agoLOL I did, FW! I was going to ask if those were the briquets or the ribs, but I don`t know her well enough to make her mad! LOL
15 weeks agoI am still checking in here everyday, just have not had much to say. Am going out to karaoke and steak dinner at the American Legion a little later. Played golf 3 times this week shot 85 all 3 rounds. Played pretty steady, just had two or 3 really bad holes on each round. Hope all you guys are doing well, wanted to ride the bike tonight but they are calling for thunderstorms, so I guess I will drive the Cadillac. Oh just been out back hitting some golf balls, I came back in about 15 minutes ago, and I already got a tick off me, it was crawling on my upper leg, trying to find a place to latch on to. I hate ticks but they love me, I had that Lyme disease back in 2001, so it scares the schitt out of me to get ticks stuck to me. I use spray lots of times while playing golf, but generally I usually have one or two latch on every year during the summer.

VT........we all have different skills and abilities........one of those being able to go in front of total strangers and singing. Since you no longer drink booze, that`s a stunner right there.
Me and I know some others that can get out there and give it a go with the Karaoke, but only after downing quit a few brewskies and/or some "shine", etc. to get up the nerve to do it.
Somehow, you don`t need the (extra boost/booze) to get on up there and sing away.
Stage Fright is the most common problem that the general public has and you obviously do not have it.
15 weeks agoLOL I`m way to self conscious to do karaoke without drinking!
15 weeks agoI sang four songs tonight, I ended up riding my Harley anyway, I figured phuck it , I have been wet many times before so one more time will not hurt me. It ended up not raining on me at all while I was out, but there is currently lots of thunder and lightning going on outside.
I sand 4 songs tonight, one of the was a duet with Diane, had a nice steak dinner and had good company, so it was a pretty good evening. I sang Me and You by Kenny Chesney, You are always on my mind, Willie Nelson, And the Ride by David Allen Coe, and Diane and I sang You,re the Reason God made Oklahoma, By david frizel and dottie west.
Moscooter, it does not bother me to get up and sing in front of other people. Actually I enjoy it.
15 weeks agoI once sang in a Gong Show in New Orleans. Didn`t get gonged. Then a sweet young thing came up on stage and sang "I Got You Babe" with me. We really got cheered for that one. I`d had a few and did not continue after that. It was a great night though.
15 weeks agoI am not a real good singer, better than a lot of karaoke singers though, I have a lot of songs that I try to sing. I have a list of around 40 or more that I sing at karaoke and growing. I do not like singing the same songs over and over again every time I go to karaoke like most of the people who sing do. They only have 3 or 4 songs that they always sing and it never changes and they never get any better.
I never sang when I was drinking, would not even think about it, but about 5 years ago I tried my hand at it at a little country store that had karaoke on Thursday nights, my first son was Okie from Muskogee by Merle Haggard. Been singing almost every week since and now two nights a week, Thursdays and Saturdays.
While I was at Myrtle bike week last month I got to sing every night, because they had a guy doing karaoke there at the bar next to the beach right on the resort property. It gets easier to do it the more you do it, and I do not mind singing in front of people I do not know.
