Well, recent article regarding H.D. in the Wall Street, reports that they (with their most recent CEO), are taking different measures to sell their new models.
Production is being cut back and dealers will (not) get all the bikes they had normally gotten in the past. New CEO wants to create "exclusivity" be limiting available models versus flooding the market as they did before.
Article went on to say that the "used" Harley market and their values should increase as more buyers will be going after a used bike versus not being able to find and/or afford a particular new one.
This bodes well for my buddy Geo and I as we have both concluded we are about done riding altogether and need to sell.
I want top dollar for mine and am in process of studying the market and prices. Stopped at the local Harley dealer in Shallotte today, he said they have hardly any (used) bikes cause of the Spring Rally being cancelled due to the virus.
Normally, they would have a bunch of used Harleys that came in during the Rally period as riders swapped out for a new bike.
He agreed with the used prices going up and expected I would get even a better price by waiting till late Summer.
We shall see..........
