4 weeks agoHi guys it is a little after 7 am. I been up a couple of hours. I rubbed 3 Boston butts last nigh with some home made honey mustard and some pork barbecue rub, then I wrapped them in aluminum foil and put them in an insulated bag overnight.
Last night I also started a crock pot slam full of Rancho baked beans and let it simmer all night, that has 3 lbs. hamburger , two large cans of pork and beans and one extra large can of kidney beans. I very large green bell pepper all diced up and a large Vidalia onion al diced up and 3/4 cup brown sugar and two tablespoons of yellow mustard, and one cup of tomato catsup. I took a taste this morning and yum!!!
I got the butts on the pellet grill at 5:30 am and it is smoking nicely now, and smelling very good. I am using a blend of hickory and mesquite pellets.
I am giving each one of my sons a butt and some beans and keeping one butt for my self. It should all be ready around 5 pm. so I am looking forward to eating pulled pork for supper!!!!!!!!!
